Step 1: Open a Job
Navigate to your Jobs list and open a job that has generated documents. Click the job title to go to its dashboard, then select the Documents tab to see all resumes, cover letters, and selection criteria associated with that application.

Purpose: To access the documents you want to share publicly.

Benefit: All your tailored documents are kept together by job, making it easy to manage sharing settings per application.

Outcome: You are on the Generated Documents page, with a list of documents ready to share.

Step 2: Open the Share Dialog
Find the document you want to share — such as your tailored resume — and click the three-dot menu icon (⋮) next to it. Select Share from the dropdown menu. The Share Document dialog will open.

Purpose: To access sharing controls for the specific document.

Benefit: Each document can have its own share settings, including its own unique link, password, and photo — giving you full control per document.

Outcome: The Share Document dialog is open, showing the current sharing status for that document.

Step 3: Enable Public Sharing
Toggle the Public sharing switch to the ON position, then click Enable Sharing. A unique share link will appear in the dialog. Copy this link using the copy icon on the right of the URL field.

Purpose: To generate the public URL that recruiters will use to view your document.

Benefit: Unlike emailing a file, a public link is always up to date, can be password protected, and lets recruiters interact with your document through AI chat and fit-check tools.

Outcome: Public sharing is enabled and you have a link to share with recruiters.

Step 4: Upload a Custom Photo
With sharing enabled, scroll down inside the Share dialog to the Custom Photo section. Click Upload Photo and select a professional image from your device (JPEG, PNG, or WebP, up to 5MB). A circular preview of your photo will appear. If you're happy with the selection, click Save Photo to apply it to the public page.

Purpose: To attach a professional headshot to this specific share link, creating a personalised and polished public profile page.

Benefit: Recruiters see a human face before they start reading, creating an immediate personal connection. This is especially powerful for roles where personality and presentation matter, such as client-facing or leadership positions.

Outcome: The photo is saved and will now appear on the public document page, visible to anyone with the share link.

Step 5: Preview Your Public Link
Close the dialog and open the share link you copied (or paste it in a new browser tab). Your public document page will load showing your photo prominently at the top, followed by your document content, AI chat, fit-check, and contact options.

Purpose: To verify that the photo appears correctly and the page looks professional before sending it to a recruiter.

Benefit: You get the exact recruiter experience, allowing you to fine-tune your presentation — swap the photo, adjust the password, or update the document — at any time without changing the link.

Outcome: You are confident your shared page looks professional and is ready to send to employers.
