Outcome: The Template Fit Analysis page loads with a ranked grid of templates showing scores from highest to lowest.

Step 2: Identify the Top Template for Optimization
Scroll through the ranked cards and focus on the highest-scoring template. This is the layout CareerCove's AI has determined will best present your skills, experience, and achievements for your target role type.

Purpose: Identify the AI-recommended template to use as the basis for resume optimization.

Benefit: Guarantees your resume content is presented in the most impactful format for your industry and role.

Outcome: The top-scoring template card (Modern Tech Professional, 94%) is highlighted and its reasoning is clearly visible.

Step 3: Navigate to the Resume Dashboard
After selecting a template, return to the Resume Dashboard by clicking "Back to Dashboard". This is where you will apply the recommended template via the Template Settings section to optimize your resume for document generation.

Purpose: Navigate to the resume dashboard to apply the optimized template.

Benefit: Connects the analysis to actionable resume improvements without leaving the platform.

Outcome: The Resume Dashboard loads showing all available sections including Template Settings.

Step 4: Open Template Settings from Dashboard
On the Resume Dashboard, locate and expand the Template Settings section. Here you can see your currently applied template and update it to the AI-recommended option in a single click, instantly optimizing future document generation output.

Purpose: Access Template Settings to apply the AI's recommended template.

Benefit: Ensures every document generated (cover letters, resumes, selection criteria) uses the optimized template.

Outcome: The Template Settings panel is expanded, showing the current template and the option to change it.

Step 5: Confirm Template Optimization is Complete
After applying the new template from Template Settings, verify that the preference has been saved. Any future document generated — cover letters, selection criteria, or tailored resumes — will now use your AI-optimized template choice automatically.

Purpose: Verify the optimized template has been saved as the resume preference.

Benefit: Locks in the improvement so every future AI-generated document benefits from the optimal layout.

Outcome: The dashboard confirms the template preference has been updated and is reflected in the settings display.
